We separated from electronic ceramics business of Narumi China Corporation and independently founded Sumitomo Metal Ceramics, Inc. as a 100%-owned subsidiary company of Sumitomo Metal Industries, Ltd. We took over manufacturing and research & development of electronic ceramics part business. (Sales was transfered to Sumitomo Metal Industries, Ltd.) |

(SMI) Electronics Devices Inc.
This company is a total electronics maker handling parts ranging from ceramics to organic, and integrated sales and manufacture. |

We founded SMI-ED Ogaki Ceramics, Inc. (

office, Ogaki City) as a 100%-owned subsidiary company of Sumitomo Metal

We founded Suzhou SMI Electronics, Co., Ltd. (Head office: Suzhou City, China) as a 100%-owned subsidiary company of Sumitomo Metal (SMI) Electronics Devices Inc. |

We concluded the joint-venture contract between our subsidiary company, SMI-ED Ogaki Ceramics, Inc. (Head office : Ogaki City) and Murata Manufacturing Co.LTD. |
